Mount Pleasant Care Home opens its doors for Christmas Activity Week

Mount Pleasant care home, in Winshill, Burton-Upon-Trent, will be throwing open its doors to welcome everyone for its Christmas Activity Week.

Running from Monday 14th to Friday 18th December 2009, there will be a huge variety of events and activities suitable for all age groups and tastes.

The week will begin with a mince pie and mulled wine morning, followed by Christmas card making in the afternoon. Tuesday will start with the opportunity to create a festive wreath for the front door, and finish with a visit from St Mark’s Choir at 2pm.

On Wednesday, Mount Pleasant will welcome Winshill Primary School for singing, while on Thursday visitors and residents will be able to make a Christmas garland. Thursday afternoon promises to be a real highlight, as the home will play host to ‘Mount Pleasant’s Got Talent!’ and a Christmas party.

As the week comes to an end on Friday, Mount Pleasant will hold a Christmas Quiz in the morning, and welcome a Gospel Hall Choir to the home in the evening.

Home manager Anne-Marie Robinson said: “We would like to invite everyone to our Christmas Activity Week, which is promising to be very enjoyable from start to finish. There are going to be lots of things for everyone to do, and the week will be a great way for the wider community to get more involved with Mount Pleasant and our residents. We extend our invitation far and wide and hope everyone will come and join us!”
