Whirlpool has been awarded a Best Buy award for its JT366 JetChef microwave oven by leading consumer magazine Which? gaining the best score in the category of 78%.
The 6th Sense® combi steam and grill microwave oven achieved one of the highest overall ratings of the 126 microwaves reviewed by the Which? panel of judges. Featuring Whirlpool’s unique 6th Sense® technology and an automatic steaming programme, the JT366 attained maximum five-star ratings for evenness, reheating, speed of cooking and grilling, and it was also rated very highly gaining four stars for continuous use, multifunction and its defrosting capabilities. The overall score was 78%, which was top score for a microwave oven with a grill.
Praise was high indeed for the versatile JT366. Which? said: “Grilling was excellent – heat from the grill spread well, right across the turntable. It’s good when cooking with a combination of microwave energy and heat from the grill – the chicken we cooked would have graced any Sunday lunch.”
The review continued: “Whirlpool heats food well as a microwave. It’s quick and even and the food doesn’t lose much weight. It was almost as good at heating after it had been in use for a while – so if you regularly heat one dish after another you can be confident the second is just about as well heated as the first.”
The review added that the oven’s accessories also make it a stand-out product. “The JT366 comes with a crisping plate, with detachable handle, as well as recipe ideas on a complimentary CD.”
