The Maytag tumble dryer (MTD09HPWH ) with pioneering heat pump technology has won the Silver Award for Best White Goods product of 2012 at the prestigious House Beautiful Awards on the 8th November 2012.

At a sparkling ceremony at the Science Museum, hosted by Julia Goodwin, Editor of House Beautiful, the awards celebrated the best home products and retailers of 2012. The expert panel of judges had a challenging time selecting the winners across the 26 categories. The judging panel included John Rocha, Jeff Banks, Sophie Conran, Oliver Heath, Nick Munro, David Domoney, presenter and DIY expert Tommy Walsh, cookery writer and presenter Mary Berry and winner of the BBC’s ‘The Great British Bake Off’ 2010, Edd Kimber.

Juliana Sado, Brand Marketing Manager remarked: “This is a tremendous achievement and is magnificent recognition of one of the most desirable laundry brands on the market today.

“The Maytag tumble dryer is packed with cutting-edge benefits associated with the innovative Maytag brand. Most importantly it is engineered and designed to deliver first-class drying performance with ground-breaking energy efficiency – it boasts an energy rating of A-50 per cent.

“We are very proud of the House Beautiful Silver Award and it is a testament to our positioning as an innovative manufacturer. Additionally, the evolutionary Maytag IntelliSense dishwasher (MDW 606 AWG) was also nominated. Its thrifty use of just 6-litres of water is probably the most water efficient in the world¹. This is a superb achievement for the company and the Maytag team.”
