Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer renowned for its effective and stylish products, received gold awards from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) for its HomeCHEF built-in oven and heat-pump tumble dryer.
Seven gold awards were presented to enterprises, public and private institutes, and innovators for the best creations of the year. These awards are the highest commendations for innovative achievements of Slovenian companies. This year, the contest saw 230 entries of projects by a total of 736 manufacturers. The best of them received seven gold, 28 silver, and six bronze awards, which were presented by the CCIS at an award ceremony held at the Congress Center in Brdo pri Kranju, Slovenia.
Gorenje received gold awards for its incredibly advanced HomeCHEF built-in oven, which features full-colour touchscreen operation and a patented multi-step baking system, and the heat pump tumble dryer with SensorIQ sensor technology (not currently available in the UK).
Boštjan Pečnik, executive director of development at Gorenje, says: “We are happy about the CCIS awards as we see them as further confirmation that we did well in developing the HomeCHEF oven and the new generation of dryers fitted with a heat pump which allows them to be ranked in the ‘A’ energy class or beyond.
“Yet a company’s development may never rest on its laurels. We shall further pursue our activities of developing new home appliances excelling with innovative features and functions. Indeed, we are already launching new innovative appliances from Gorenje, such as the IQcook cooking hob with steam cooking technology.”
