Gorenje launches striking new stand concept at IFA 2013

Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer famed for its creative and inspirational appliances had a striking new stand concept at this year’s IFA, spanning two floors and 750 m2.

IFA is the world’s leading consumer electronics and home appliance tradeshow, held in Berlin between the 6th and 11th September 2013. This year, the Gorenje stand featured new products and prototypes featuring advanced technology and contemporary design.

The Gorenje stand highlighted the new ION generation of fridge freezers, available to the UK towards the end of 2013. The ION generation of refrigerators boast unique, advanced AdaptCool technology and an IonAir system to keep food fresher for longer. IonAir technology eliminates up to 95 per cent of microorganisms, and when paired with the advanced MultiFlow 360° and NoFrost Plus functions they create an ideal environment for ultimate food freshness.

Following up on the introduction of the revolutionary IQcook induction hob, which is the first hob to employ IQ sensor technology for automatic healthy cooking, Gorenje is now introducing a prototype of the intelligent IQhood, showcased at IFA. The intelligent hood uses integrated sensors, which connect with the hob, synchronizing its operation and automatically adjusting the power according to the cooking process.

The HomeCHEF oven, one of the most innovative and advanced kitchen appliances from Gorenje, has been further advanced with some new features at this year’s IFA. The new models boast a new, safe and highly energy efficient UltraCoolDoor system, considered among the best in the market. Extremely low exterior door temperatures during cooking, as cool as 30°C, ensure consumers are safe when touching the oven door. The latest HomeCHEF models are also fitted with a new GentleClose soft oven door closing system and pyrolytic cleaning.

Colour in the kitchen is the trend of the moment, and Gorenje’s stand offered a host of colourful appliances. This year, Gorenje is launching a set of appliances in matching fire red, consisting of a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a refrigerator. The Gorenje Retro range of brightly coloured refrigerators has proved incredibly popular in the UK, and now Gorenje is launching a new model in yellow.

Lauren Abbott, Marketing Manager, for Gorenje says: “This year’s IFA was a real success for Gorenje. The large stand promoted Gorenje’s creativity and ensured we could maximise our appliance exhibits. By offering a wide array of products in varied styles and different price segments, Gorenje gives users the possibility to express their own individual lifestyles through design and technology.”
