John Newman Hairdressing and Beauty (JNH&B) is holding their second annual fund raising event on Sunday, 6th July 2014, at Brixworth Country Park at 11.00am to raise funds for the Kettering General Hospital (KGH)¹.
The event, which includes a walk/jog/run/cycle around Pitsford reservoir is being organised to raise funds for the KGH including the stroke unit, cardiac unit, ophthalmology fund, colorectal fund, wish list fund and revive the KGH rec hall project.
Everyone can sign-up and take part; there will be lots of fun for all, with two very special surprise guests for Saints Rugby Club fans, and Bernie, the club’s mascot, will be there too. In addition, a specially prepared Aston Martin Vantage V8 wrapped in Saints livery will be on show, so do come along and take a selfie with this beautiful car. There will be a medal for everyone taking part and homemade cakes waiting at the finish line. For those who feel really energetic, and for an added bit of fun, there is the option to wear fancy dress and/or a silly hat.
Shirley Newman, Director, JNH&B explains: “We would love as many as possible to come and join us at the fund raising event at Brixworth. We have lots of entertaining surprises and would appreciate the support of everyone, regardless of whether or not they wish to take part in the seven mile trek around the park.
“We hope very much the community will be able to spare a few moments to pop down and see us, as well as joining in the fun and donate to the KGH charities. This will make a tremendous difference and help to buy items to make the lives of staff, patients and families easier.”
