InSinkErator® Gains The Coveted Quiet Mark

InSinkErator®, the world’s largest manufacturer and the inventor of food waste disposers has gained the coveted Quiet Mark accreditation for its top of the range Evolution 200 and sister Evolution 100 waste disposal units. The distinctive purple Q mark of approval is awarded to manufacturers who incorporate ‘quiet’ into their designs.

The award marks a continuation of  InSinkErator’s success in the UK, where its product range is becoming increasingly recognised and praised in the fight against the escalating food waste. The company, which is also a major player in the steaming hot water taps market,  recently enjoyed a highly successful appearance at The Ideal Home Show within the world’s first ‘Quiet House’, a concept pioneered by Quiet Mark http://www.quietmark.com/ and developed in partnership with award winning Gregory Phillips Architects, interior designer Martin Hulbert, and with lighting by Andrew Orange.

Quiet Mark is the non-profit trading arm of the Noise Abatement Society charitable foundation and presented an aspirational Quiet House of the future to help consumers make more informed choices about the appliances they buy.

Linda Phoutthasak, Marketing Manager, Europe for InSinkErator says: “If you’ve never thought of adding a food waste disposer to your kitchen now might be the time. They are cool, they help the planet and more people want one. They are also quiet and absolutely ‘on-trend’ for the modern home.

“Clever ways to make a small space look and feel bigger often have a huge impact on the quality of living in any property, and it isn’t just the appearance of open space that is needed either. Genuinely practical, space-saving solutions are essential in today’s kitchen where living space is on the decrease and everyday appliances must fit in only a fraction of the space.

“This gives us a great chance to increase consumer awareness of food waste disposers and steaming hot water taps, both of which are highly practical, discreet, stylish and save huge amounts in energy, food waste and water. Many more of these products will become a fixture in UK homes as time goes on and the prestigious Quiet Mark award is a great acknowledgement of the work we have done to develop and promote these excellent appliances.”
