New Whirlpool Laundry Range Epitomises ‘Infinite Care’ Concept

In a dynamic response to the wishes of its customers, Whirlpool has taken a major leap forward in top quality fabric care with the launch of a new range of laundry appliance that meets the company’s big objective of ‘Infinite Care’ for clothes.

An extensive study by Whirlpool across five European countries¹ has revealed that clothes care is one of the top consumer demands, as well as a main target for appliance manufacturers.  Consumers now regard the washing machine as a great ally in caring for their clothes, preferable even to hand-washing.

As well as being well timed, Whirlpool’s new washing and drying appliances are also the best on the market and the kindest to your fabrics.  Their excellent quality is reflected in a six years parts warranty and two year labour warranty.

The hero product of the washing machine range, the WWDC 9444, not only has an outstanding energy rating of ‘A+++-30’, (offering 60 per cent energy savings over an ‘A’ rated machine) it also offers Best Care on the market, endorsed by the Swiss test institute, EMPA² who conducted extensive testing of 18 washing machines from nine different brands. The rigorous procedure involved the testing of six washing cycles on each machine using the cotton programme on a 3kg load³.

Whirlpool’s top-of-the-range WWDC 9444 offers the consumer exceptional versatility and garment care.  Wave Motion+ technology maximises performance using a distinctive set of six programmes featuring a range of special drum speeds and movements, tailored to care for all fabric types, including the most gentle drum movement4 on the market for delicates.

Whirlpool’s unique, patented and ultra-soft drum pattern, together with its patented drum lifters, decrease the surface friction on clothes by 70 per cent in order to caress the laundry and provide the gentlest environment.  Clothes are further protected and valuable energy saved by Whirlpool’s 6TH SENSE® Infinite Care technology, which senses the load to deliver up to 50 per cent savings in energy, water and time compared to similar models without such technology.

In addition to caressing and protecting the most delicate fabrics, 6TH SENSE® Infinite Care also takes special care of colours, safeguarding the softest shade to the brightest hue.  Whirlpool’s 6TH SENSE® Infinite Care Colours 15° option, optimises each wash programme for different colour clusters, offering the cleaning performance of a 40°C wash cycle at only 15°C.

The technological enhancements of the WWDC 9444 add up to a vastly improved distribution and treatment of clothes, and an outstanding cleaning performance that is both kind on the environment and the pocket.

It is only fitting that such a range should keep equally impressive company and Whirlpool’s new collection of tumble dryers, spearheaded by the ‘A+’ rated AZA 9791 condenser model with heat pump technology, hits new heights in drying effectiveness.  The machine has gained a powerful endorsement for the company’s 6TH SENSE® Infinite Care technology for clothes.

Testing among leading European brands, by the independent Swiss institute EMPA, showed Whirlpool as having the best drying performance on woollen garments and has achieved Best Care on the market in drying woollens.

The  new AZA 9791 impressively meets all essential criteria with its 6TH SENSE® Infinite Care technology. This intelligent technology, with special sensors, constantly monitors the humidity level and automatically adjusts the drying cycle to deliver results excellence while saving up to 50 per cent in energy and time.

The cleverly designed ‘A+’ rated AZA 9791 tumble dryer heats its capacious 9kg drum fast, while the new inverted drum pattern maximises garment care. It delivers the fastest and most even drying results for tumble-dryable woollen garments, using a unique 3D airflow, and the gentlest of drum movements, reducing mechanical action, relaxing the fibres and allowing air to flow into and across garments. In addition, ‘air cushions’ protect the laundry when tumbling due both to the upward airflow from the lifters and the drum design. The cooler air from the lifters is also gentler and improves fabric care.

Both the 6TH SENSE® Infinite Care washing machine and the A+ heat pump tumble dryer boast a hallmark of quality and durability. They have been built to last over ten years, as certified by a 2,500-cycle certification test conducted by the German Institute TÜV Rheinland®, which they  passed with flying colours.

Davina O’Carroll, Sales and Marketing Coordinatior for Whirlpool, says: “We believe our new washing machines take garment care to a genuinely new and important level for our many customers.  Our European study of washing trends revealed that 80 per cent of those customers interviewed no longer regard laundry as an annoying chore. They are very conscious and serious about the care of their clothes and furthermore are willing to pay a premium price for a washing machine that guarantees better care for their garments.

“Our exciting new range meets consumer requirements right across the board and they incorporate a number of new technologies designed to protect clothes as well as saving energy, time and money.”
