Whirlpool Provides Cooking Appliances For Gordon Ramsay’s New Cookery Show

Whirlpool, a leading manufacturer of major home appliances, has provided six cooking appliances from their Fusion built-in collection, to Gordon Ramsay’s brand new cookery show, Culinary Genius.

Each hour-long episode, hosted by Fern Britton, will see nine amateur cooks head into a wrestling ring-style studio to participate in a culinary battle. Each week, a different professional chef will preside over the kitchen, demonstrating with expertise two of the tasks for the competitors and the audience at home.

Whirlpool has provided the cookery show with three built-in single ovens, AKZM 6550/IXL, and three built-in 60 cm gas hobs, GMF 6422/IXL. The Whirlpool Fusion single oven has a capacity of up to 73 litres, features innovative technology, such as Ready2Cook, eliminating the need for preheating, and Cook3, which enables three different dishes on three shelf levels to be cooked at once, with no mixing of flavours – ideal for contestants under-pressure hoping to impress the professionals.

The Whirlpool Fusion four burner gas hob, is finished in stainless steel and coated in Whirlpool’s iXelium™ nanotechnology that acts as a barrier against chemical agents and heat, preserving the quality and natural shine of the metal over time. As food residue does not stick to the surface, the iXelium™ coating also makes for easy cleaning; all that is required to restore the perfect look is a simple wipe using only natural, non-aggressive detergents.

Phil Vickery, Rosemary Shrager and Jean-Christophe Novelli will join Gordon Ramsay in the new competitive cookery show. The culinary legend, Gordon Ramsay, will be first to take to the floor and the fiery foodie will be looking for speed, as well as accuracy, across three intense rounds.
