Healthy Eating With Indesit Turn&Cook

Healthy Eating With Indesit Turn&Cook

Healthy living has been defined as a megatrend1, with more and more consumers choosing to lead a healthy lifestyle. Technology is helping to educate and empower consumers to take control of their eating habits and daily routines1.

Indesit has introduced an oven range with an intriguing setting called Turn&Cook. A simple solution so busy families, both young and old, can cook healthy meals at home, without any fuss.

Turn&Cook enables consumers to cook a selection of handy and healthy recipes without the hassle of choosing the right cooking programme every time. With just one turn of the control knob, the oven automatically sets the cooking time and oven temperature to cook over 80 recipes, perfectly, in just one hour. The oven then automatically switches off at the end of the cooking time so, whatever you are busy doing, the dish will not spoil.

Indesit has also developed the Turn&Cook app, available on both iOS and Android devices, which features a selection of recipe ideas. The app can be used as an archive, where users can save their favourite recipes. There is also the handy ingredient tool where users can photograph an ingredient they wish to use in a dish, and the app will recommend recipes which feature that ingredient. It’s great for using up left overs and saves waste as well as money.

The ‘A+’ energy rated Indesit Aria built-in oven (KFW 3844 H IX) boasts the clever Turn&Cook function. This clever innovation, along with the Turn&Cook app, is ideal for families with hectic lifestyles that are interested in healthy living, but may not have the time to learn to cook new dishes.

Research states that there has been a 54 per cent decrease in home cooking in the last 30 years, with 27 per cent of millennials admitting that they are not interested in learning how to cook2. Despite this, the need and desire to make healthy food choices is on the rise, with millennials becoming more conscious of their diet2.

The Turn&Cook app is the ideal solution for those millennials who are not interested in learning how to cook. The under-35 year olds are likely to use a digital device for inspiration and to follow recipes2. The Turn&Cook app makes cooking more accessible to younger generations, giving them the chance to cook healthy, homemade meals, without spending hours looking through recipe books and learning new skills.

Sara Bazeley, Brand Manager, Indesit says: “The Indesit Aria collection of built-in cooking appliances is designed to be easy-to-use whilst providing a stylish and co-ordinated finish to the kitchen.

The simplicity of the Turn&Cook function offers the perfect solution to busy families, young adults and the elderly alike, as it enables users to cook nutritious meals easily. With healthy living a major trend in the UK at the moment, consumers are looking for easy ways to improve their lifestyle. Turn&Cook makes healthy eating at home more achievable and provides great results with total ease of use.”
