Combined Independents (Holdings) Ltd (CIH), an electrical buying group, part of Euronics, Europe’s largest electrical buying group, has announced the appointment of a new Chairman, Steve Scogings.
Steve Scogings succeeds Robin Millwood who was Chairman for 12 years. Steve was Deputy Chairman of CIH for the last two years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the independent electrical retail channel with 28 years with the electrical retail chain, Stellisons Electrical. Steve continually innovates to ensure that Stellisons is at the forefront of the retail industry. Stellisons was the first UK retailer to introduce electronic shelf labelling technology to streamline the pricing process, and to relieve staff to focus on its core value, customer service.
Steve says of his new appointment: “I am thrilled to be elected as Chairman of CIH at such an exciting time for the business. I am passionate about the industry and look forward to this next chapter of my time with CIH and the Euronics members.”
