The Whirlpool Grand Side by Side freestanding fridge and freezer pair (SW8 AM2C XARL UK and UW8 F2C XLSB) has won Fridge/Freezer of the Year in the Trusted Reviews Awards 2018.
The Trusted Reviews Awards celebrate the technology, products and innovations that stand out from the crowd. Following Whirlpool’s success in the Fridge/Freezer of the Year category, the Grand Side by Side has been entered into the Large Home Products of the Year 2018 category. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony, which takes place on Thursday 8th November 2018.
Trusted Reviews has tested more than 1,000 products over the past 12 months, and the Whirlpool fridge and freezer pair performed particularly well. The freestanding fridge (SW8 AM2C XARL UK) scored five stars and was given the ‘Highly Recommended’ accolade. The refrigerator was praised for its massive capacity, consistent cooling, low running costs and described as a winner1.
The Whirlpool freestanding freezer (UW8 F2C XLSB) also scored five stars and received the ‘Highly Recommended’ honour. The freezer was commended for its outstanding looks, capacity, energy efficiency and performance2.
Trusted Reviews remarked on both the fridge and freezer as standalone appliances as well as praising them as a pair: ‘the pair is a stunningly good-looking, flush-fitting stainless-steel duo, with capacity and energy efficiency that no US-style side-by-side fridge freezer can touch’2.
