<p>The Gorenje HomeCHEF sees highly user-friendly technology from other market sectors, such as home entertainment and mobile technology, being integrated into kitchen appliances to achieve a new, inspiring cooking experience alongside incredibly easy operation. It features an integrated glass, full-colour touchscreen with photo realistic and vibrant images, which is controlled by simply using the touch of a finger to scroll through the interactive display.</p>
<p>Alongside a large 65 litre capacity and very efficient ‘A-20%’ energy rating, a true highlight of the Gorenje HomeCHEF is its patented, unique, electronic touch control panel with its large colour display that allows selection of the required function by simply sliding a figure across the screen. The HomeCHEF oven has a vast selection of pre-loaded menus and cooking functions perfect for use by both cooking novices and experts alike. </p>
<p>Accessed via the main menu screen (with a choice of 30 different language settings) the SIMPLEbake option offers nine food images representing the most common categories of dish the consumer wishes to prepare. Simply choose the dish required, and the technology does the rest, automatically selecting the cooking programme, temperature and the duration for the consumer, although if required any of these can be changed by the touch of a finger. </p>
<p>The AUTObake option boasts up to 65 pre-programmed dishes classified into logical categories; the consumer simply selects the dish required and touches Start. PRObake is perfectly suited to the developed chef as it allows total freedom to control all aspects of the cooking process, including the elements used, the temperature and the duration. </p>
<p>As a useful extension to the PRObake option, STEPbake allows the consumer to create their own combination of up to three separate cooking programmes. For example, the consumer can start cooking with a low temperature and then step up to high and then finish with medium, or may want all the heating elements to work at the beginning, but only the upper one at the end; they can control the element, the temperature and the duration. </p>
<p>Finally, the MYbake option allows the consumer to store their own commonly used cooking programmes; these could be the favourite dishes from AUTObake menu or of their own creation in the PRObake or STEPbake programme. These are stored in an easy to access personalised cooking library of up to 150 dishes. </p>
<p>In addition, there are also a number of other useful innovative features pre-programmed onto the HomeCHEF oven, such as rapid pre-heat, plate warming, defrost and a cleaning programme. The HomeCHEF ably demonstrates the ability of Gorenje to effortlessly combine highly advanced cooking technology with radical design to ensure a thoroughly modern, simple user experience that yields excellent results.</p>

<p>The Plus X Award is the world&#8217;s largest contest for innovative technologies, sport and lifestyle products. Held in Germany, the awards are judged and presented by a jury of renowned industry and media representatives from across Europe. In order to win a Plus X award a product must be selected as the best in its group, in the European market, in at least one of the following categories: innovation, design, high quality, user-friendliness, environmental friendliness, functionality, and ergonomics. </p>
<p>Gorenje’s outstanding iChef oven with electronic control module was declared Product of the Year in the ovens category. It also received a second award for innovation, high quality, excellence of design and ease of use, thanks to the superior full-colour slide control which affords an advanced user experience similar to that offered by other modern consumer electronic products.</p>
<p>Gorenje’s RedSet washing machine won the third Plus X Award, for excellence of design, simplicity of use, and environmental friendliness. The awards jury was highly impressed by the product’s appealing appearance and environmentally friendly performance. The RedSet washing machine boasts an ‘A-10%AA’ rating for energy, washing and spinning, ranking the appliance among the most efficient current available in the market. </p>

<p>Induction hobs are becoming increasingly popular as consumers begin to understand and appreciate the many benefits it offers, including speed, safety and efficiency. Gorenje’s product portfolio features a range of induction hobs, in a variety of configurations, to suit different kitchen designs and styles.</p>
<p>The latest additions to Gorenje’s induction hob range are a five zone model, a four zone panoramic hob and a four zone 60 cm wide model. They feature a chic black glass design, with easy to use touch control, residual heat indicators and safety hob locks for peace of mind. The new panoramic and five zone hobs also offer several innovative functions such as Boil Control to prevent pans boiling over, and StopGo to temporarily pause the cooking process.</p>

<p>Unveiled at an exclusive VIP preview on Thursday 22nd September, Gorenje appliances were a key attraction at the Silent Revolutions exhibition, the first time Slovenian contemporary design has been celebrated on such an international scale. </p>
<p>The preview was attended by important figures from the Slovenian embassy, the design industry and the press. It was opened by His Excellency Mr Iztok Jarc, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, who praised the brands that were taking part and acknowledged the influence they have had on the design industry and other products worldwide.</p>
<p>Appliances from the Gorenje Simplicity range were on display at the Silent Revolutions exhibition until Sunday 25th September, demonstrating that kitchen products need not just perform a function, but can also feature exciting and aspirational design. The Gorenje exhibit included a Simplicity induction hob, built-in single oven and washing machine, all featuring the iconic single control knob with a beautiful white appearance.</p>
<p>Ruth Ferguson, Marketing Manager for Gorenje says: “The Silent Revolutions exhibition was a superb opportunity to demonstrate to the world the quality and creativity offered by Slovenian design, and so it was incredibly important that Gorenje took part to acknowledge the role appliances play. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer renowned for its creative and inspirational appliances, returned to Berlin for this year’s IFA Fair. Its 500 square metre exhibition stand featured many exciting innovations and new products, with the theme ‘Ultra White’.</p>
<p>A key launch on the stand had to be the new generation of washing machines and tumble dryers boasting intelligent SensorIQ technology, which automatically controls the washing and drying process, contributing to high energy efficiency. State-of-the-art SensoCARE technology delivers excellent laundry care as it understands and takes into consideration the differing needs of modern consumers. Furthermore, UltraWHITE, a unique program for delicate whites created by Gorenje&#8217;s own experts, ensures perfectly white and clean laundry at no more than 30°C.  </p>
<p>Gorenje’s new generation of tumble dryers includes the energy-efficient condenser dryers with a heat pump. The innovative new TwinAir drying technology, combined with IonTech technology for efficient fibre smoothing, delivers UltraSOFT softness and care. All this ranks Gorenje’s new laundry appliances as among the most accomplished appliances in the market.</p>
<p>In the cooking sector, the revolutionary top class IQcook induction hob with pre-set cooking modes was another highlight at the fair. The innovative IQ sensor technology guarantees an extremely safe and closely controlled cooking process allowing the choice of five pre-set modes. This new technology not only saves time by optimising the cooking temperature, it is also incredibly efficient; the IQcook hob can even save up to 40 per cent in energy consumption compared to conventional induction technology hobs.</p>
<p>Gorenje’s stand also featured the ground-breaking HomeCHEF built-in oven, which was previously launched at the Living Kitchen exhibition in Cologne to widespread acclaim. The HomeChef uses a superior control module, which allows slide control of the oven via a large colour display. This technology has now been included in other appliances as well; Gorenje’s IFA stand displayed the concept washing machine WashEXPERT. Like the HomeCHEF, it features unique touch control using a large and clearly laid out colour LCD display. The user just has to choose the programme that best suits their requirements, given the type or colour of fabric, and the WashEXPERT takes care of the rest. It is a complex innovation offering intuitive washing mode selection, translated into truly simple and appealing form. </p>
<p>A further concept at the IFA fair was Gorenje’s new Weblicity line. This range takes the popular design and functionality of Simplicity appliances and adds a further dimension – consumers can now personalise the products with colour strips in six colours: white, black, grey, orange, green, and pink.</p>
<p>Alongside the new innovations and concepts featured on Gorenje’s stand, were firm favourites from its product portfolio including the Gorenje designed by Karim Rashid collection, the Simplicity range and the Retro refrigeration, with new white and red models. </p>
<p>Ruth Ferguson, Marketing Manager for Gorenje, says: “The IFA Fair is widely considered to be one of the most important events in the global appliance industry, and was the ideal setting for Gorenje to present its latest and most innovative products and concepts.
