InSinkErator®, the global leader, inventor and manufacturer of food waste disposers, and major player in the steaming hot water tap market, has achieved A class and B class sound level ratings for their food waste disposers in a recent Swedish test1.
Conducted by ACAD International2, the largest independent acoustics consultancy in Sweden, who is active in all fields related to sound and vibrations with building acoustics, room acoustics and community noise, assessed the sound levels of three InSinkErator® food waste disposers; the Evolution 200, Evolution 100 and M Series 66. The tests measured the maximum noise output achieved when each individual food waste disposer was put through its paces.
The top-of-the-range InSinkErator® Evolution 200 food waste disposer was awarded the uppermost A class rating, with a noise level of only 25 dB, the lowest noise level achieved across all food waste disposers on test. The Evolution 100 and M Series 66 models both achieved B class ratings with low noise levels of 27 dB and 26 dB, respectively, around the noise level of rustling leaves and quieter than a bowl of crackling Rice Krispies in milk3.
