New Whirlpool Premium, Built-in, Side-by-Side, Refrigeration Pair

New Whirlpool Premium, Built-in, Side-by-Side, Refrigeration Pair

Whirlpool has launched a new premium, built-in, refrigeration pair, which may be coupled together to emulate the must-have side-by-side.

Storing food is a constant challenge, particularly for those who lead busy lives and prefer the convenience of doing bigger shops less frequently.  However, poor, inadequate storage can have an impact on how well food is preserved, and even worse, may result in food going to waste.

The launch of the new premium built-in pair creates a powerful refrigeration combination of high performing appliances powered by Whirlpool 6th Sense® technology.  The perfectly aligned fridge and freezer are designed to ensure food stays fresher for longer, and organising the 528 litres of net capacity is easy and intuitive, through the flexible and intelligent internal design.

The new built-in pair features the latest Whirlpool 6th Sense® technology.  Whirlpool wages war against food and energy waste. The new models incorporate Whirlpool’s core technology, patented 6th Sense® that detects temperature variances and restores it to the correct level five times faster, such as when loading the refrigerator after a weekly shop.

The built-in fridge has 6th Sense® FreshControl, which monitors both the temperature and humidity throughout the entire refrigerator, not in just one drawer, to ensure outstanding food preservation performance.  It preserves food freshness up to four times longer than a conventional refrigerator¹.  6th Sense® FreshControl constantly monitors and maintains the refrigerator’s humidity between 70 to 85 per cent, so that foods, such as fruit and vegetables, don’t dehydrate and their nutritional value, vitamins and anti-oxidants are all preserved for longer, resulting in less food wastage.  It creates the optimal environment for food preservation, reducing unnecessary food waste and financial costs, as well as making a difference to the planet.

The interior has seven safety glass shelves of which five are adjustable, and there are five generous door balconies.  The new energy efficient LED lighting system affords better visibility, and space management, and reduced energy consumption too.

The built-in freezer offers supreme performance and convenience with FreezeControl technology, creating the ideal storage conditions throughout the entire freezer, reducing freezer burn by up to 50 per cent, while preserving the quality and colour of the contents for longer.

The new built-in side-by-side models are an excellent showcase of the massive research Whirlpool continues to do in this crucially important area.  Apart from prolonging food freshness, these attractive models have great energy ratings, excellent food storage performance and plenty of flexible space.

Jennifer Taylor, Senior Brand Manager, Whirlpool says: “Refrigeration appliances are at the heart of the modern kitchen, while the kitchen is the heart of today’s home and a living space.  The family spends most of their leisure time in the kitchen so it is important that all appliances fit seamlessly into the kitchen environment and reflect the consumer’s personal style and tastes.

“At the same time modern refrigeration appliances have to be powered by the latest technologies to ensure that food is kept fresh for as long and as efficiently as possible. The new built-in supreme premium pair takes care of your food by maintaining precise conditions maximising freshness, while affording you the freedom to make full use of the capacity; a truly versatile and premium storage solution.”
