InSinkErator® is encouraging the use of re-fillable drinks bottles and offering solutions to reduce water waste in the home on World Water Day, which takes place on Thursday 22nd March 2018.
The theme of this year’s World Water Day is ‘Nature for Water’, which explores nature-based solutions to the water challenges we encounter in the 21st century, including helping to protect the natural environment and reduce pollution.
In the UK, the average UK household uses 480 plastic bottles per year, but only recycles 270 of them1. The non-recycled bottles, therefore, end up in landfill or in the ocean, causing damage to the environment.
