Hotpoint Takes Fresh Thinking for Forgotten Food on the Road

Hotpoint is on a mission to help the nation reduce food waste at home. Following the launch of the ‘Fresh Thinking for Forgotten Food’ campaign, Hotpoint is touring the country with its Fresh Thinking Mobile Kitchen Roadshow.

From Friday 27th July, the Hotpoint Fresh Thinking Mobile Kitchen  has showcased simple and effective tips that help to reduce and prevent food waste. Pitching-up at five different locations across the UK, Hotpoint  has been demonstrating recipes that utilise ingredients that are wasted the most in the UK. These include bread, dairy items and fruit and vegetables.

The roadshow will also promote Hotpoint’s Leftovers Recipe Challenge, which will encourage consumers to enter a competition by submitting their favourite recipe using leftovers. All competition entries will be in with a chance to win tickets to the Fresh Thinking Pop-Up Café event. The winners will also get a chance to meet Hotpoint brand ambassador Jamie Oliver. The Pop-Up Café will be held in October 2018, where all dishes served will be inspired by the Leftovers Recipe Challenge.

In addition, the winner of the Leftovers Recipe Challenge will also win a Hotpoint Day1 fridge freezer, which encompasses a series of technologies that keep food fresh for longer.

Jennifer Taylor, Head of Brand, Hotpoint says: “Hotpoint is passionate about the issue of food waste and we are keen to help consumers reduce avoidable food waste at home. The mission of the Fresh Thinking Roadshow is to show people how easy, beneficial and delicious it is to cook with leftover ingredients.

“The Fresh Thinking Mobile Kitchen is an exciting opportunity for visitors to learn useful hints and tips as well as discover delicious recipes that are easy to remember and use. The roadshow will be engaging and educational and we are thrilled to offer consumers a platform to share their leftovers-inspired recipes.”
